PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Housby is looking for experienced Equipment Inspectors to join our growing Online Sales team! Equipment Inspectors are responsible for performing precise and detailed visual inspections, basic troubleshooting, and functional testing on equipment being submitted for online sales. This position travels independently, in a company vehicle, to locations around the US to perform the described job duties on behalf of the Company.

FOCUS:
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Travel to different customer sites in order to verify equipment and collect inventory information for items being submitted for sale.
- Identify and record equipment component details.
- Validate equipment descriptions.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, de-identification, & other light services
- Confirm the quality of equipment data and other related information.
- Take photos and complete specs of equipment.
- Maintain a professional image at all times.
- Expected to follow the Company's safety rules and safety policies.
- Follow and uphold Housby's core values.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience in equipment inspections, preferably in the online sales or heavy equipment business.
- Knowledge of agriculture, construction, refuse, ready mix, and transportation equipment is highly preferred.
- Ability to travel overnight 75% of the time.
- Possess a valid driver's license and driving record to match company requirements.
- Basic computer skills.
- Proficiency using computers, MS Office Suite products (Word, Excel).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Strong time management skills; the ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize work s essential.
EDUCATION:
- High School Degree or GED required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to stand, climb, stoop, squat, walk, and reach for extended periods of time.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Able to drive for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work tools are provided.
- Work both indoors and outdoors year-round and climb on and off large equipment and trucks.
- The work environment for this position is varied due to the differences in our work site. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic and outside weather conditions.
- Noise level is usually moderate to very loud.
- Some weekends and evening hours will be required.
