We are currently hiring an Equipment Engineer for Day Shift
Position Summary:
Fix and install existing equipment and support Engineering on transferring equipment to production (e.g., Reflow Oven)
Design and implement upgrades to tooling, mechanization, and automation equipment for greater efficiency and reliability (e.g., Flexline upgrades, Flexline rebuilds, laminator)
Support facilities projects (e.g., expansion)
Provide trouble-shooting support for factory automation and facilities projects
Ensure that repetitive equipment failures and inefficiencies are identified
Comply and enforce all quality, personnel, safety, and environmental policies
Any other responsibilities your manager may assign to you from time to time that are relevant to this position
Conform to the requirements of the Quality Management System {QM-1001)
Understanding how your job affects the quality policy and objectives *(QM-1001)
Comply with purchasing requirements when originating purchase requisitions (PU-2001)
When entering an ESD protected area, adhere to the requirements (QA-2025)
Submit Request for Repair forms to maintenance when equipment is down (LM-2001)
Properly tag equipment that is down or for limited use only (LM-2001)
Comply with safety, environmental, and corporate policies and procedures {HR-4040)
Carry out any other responsibilities that your supervisor may assign from time to time as related to this position and needed by the company
Education & Experience:
B.S. Engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred or equivalent) Experience: Minimum of 2- 5 years prior work experience in related position or industry
Experience in coordination and oversight of projects
Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Skilled in effective logical problem solving (i.e., identifying the features, parameters, or considerations to take into account, collecting and analyzing data by using logic and intuition to arrive at conclusions and recommendations)
Strong communication skills (active listening, succinct verbal and grammatically correct written communication, excellent phone presence)
Safe and effective experience in the use of hand, power, and machine shop tools
Proficient in MS Windows, Outlook, Office Suite CJVord, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) toolsets
Solid logic & problem solving skills
Good organizational and planning skills
Solid basic math skills(+,-, *,I, fractions, decimals, conversions, English/metric units of measure)
AutoCad and/or SolidWorks skills a plus
PLC programming and ladder logic skills a plus
Software programming skills and experience in C++, Visual Basic, or other programming languages for machine control a plus
Valid & insurable class C driver's license with current proof of insurance
Multi-tasking and coping skills for working in a high pressure, quick tum environment
Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy with "do it right the first time" attitude
Other desirable qualities include adaptability, innovative, diligent, quick-learner, dependable, reliable, responsible, and safety conscious
