EPIC Analyst I, HIM - Remote - Information Technology

The Epic Systems Analyst I supports, troubleshoots, and resolves daily operational issues/requests from end users leveraging our Epic applications. The Epic Systems Analyst I works with other analysts and operational counterparts to maintain continuity in process and in support of our integrated Epic electronic medical record. While Epic Systems Analyst I positions are primarily focused on system maintenance, they will also actively participate in projects with guidance from more senior members of the Epic team.
Responsibilities:What you will do:
Under direct supervision of Information Technology leadership, the EPIC Analyst will be responsible for:
- I&T support of 1 to 2 Epic modules and other related applications
- 70% of time dedicated to daily operational support and quarterly system updates
- 10% of time dedicated to projects which includes supporting system enhancements/new features, enhanced workflow design, and optimization
- Participates in additional projects as assigned by supervisor
- Works effectively and efficiently as part of a team on assignments. Can work independently on some assignments. Takes direction.
- Collaborates with customers, vendors and other IT professionals to meet challenges and coordinate resources to achieve quality outcomes
- Escalates problems and concerns to supervisors
- Develops how-to documentation and workflows for end-users and fellow team members
- Provides on-call support
- Expected to pursue Epic certification in assigned modules within six months of hire
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Previous experience in an IT development or healthcare operational support role
- Applications experience in either an application support or implementation role
- Healthcare experience a plus but not required
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $58K-$87K, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
