We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Epic Prelude Analyst. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting the configuration, testing, and optimization of the Epic Prelude module, which is integral to patient registration and demographic information management. The successful candidate will collaborate with patient access staff, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective utilization of the Prelude system to streamline patient access workflows and enhance the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with patient access staff and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for Epic Prelude module implementations, enhancements, and optimizations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Participate in the configuration, testing, and implementation of Prelude system changes, including patient registration workflows, demographic data collection, and insurance verification processes, to support efficient and effective patient access operations.
Provide end-user support, troubleshooting issues, and conducting training sessions as needed to ensure efficient and effective use of the Prelude system by patient access personnel, fostering user adoption and proficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance system functionality, usability, and performance, leveraging best practices and industry standards.
Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation, including system configuration guides, user manuals, and training materials, to support effective system utilization and knowledge transfer across the organization.
Stay current with industry trends and developments in patient access operations, patient registration processes, and healthcare information technology to inform system optimizations and enhancements, contributing to the organization's strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience working in patient access operations or healthcare information systems, with a strong understanding of patient registration processes and workflows.
Familiarity with patient registration systems, preferably Epic Prelude or similar EHR platforms, is preferred but not required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, effectively addressing operational challenges and improving workflow efficiency.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including patient access representatives, administrators, IT professionals, and external vendors.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established timelines, maintaining accuracy and consistency in system configuration and documentation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment, adapting to changing priorities and effectively managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
