We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Epic OpTime Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial role in the configuration, testing, and optimization of the Epic OpTime module, which is integral to managing perioperative processes such as scheduling, documentation, and resource management. The successful candidate will collaborate with surgical services staff, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective utilization of the OpTime system to streamline perioperative workflows and enhance patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with surgical services staff and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for Epic OpTime module implementations, enhancements, and optimizations.
Participate in the configuration, testing, and implementation of OpTime system changes, including surgical scheduling workflows, preference cards, and perioperative documentation templates, to support efficient and effective perioperative processes.
Provide end-user support, troubleshooting issues, and conducting training sessions as needed to ensure efficient and effective use of the OpTime system by clinical staff and administrators.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance system functionality, usability, and performance.
Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation, including system configuration guides, user manuals, and training materials, to support effective system utilization and knowledge transfer.
Stay current with industry best practices and trends in surgical services, perioperative management, and healthcare information technology to inform system optimizations and enhancements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience working in surgical services operations, perioperative management, or healthcare information systems.
Familiarity with surgical scheduling systems, perioperative documentation tools, or electronic health record (EHR) platforms, preferably Epic OpTime or similar systems, is preferred but not required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders including surgeons, nurses, administrators, IT professionals, and vendors.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established timelines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
