Job Details
The Epic Application Analyst role is a dynamic and challenging position in the medical industry. This role is critical to our mission to provide the most efficient and effective healthcare services to our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our Epic application database. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a highly skilled team of professionals in a stimulating and rewarding environment. The Epic Application Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
1. Designing, building, testing, and implementing Epic application solutions to meet business needs and improve system efficiency.
2. Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
3. Maintaining the integrity of the Epic application database, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data.
4. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the Epic application database, including performance issues, system errors, and data discrepancies.
5. Providing technical support and training to end-users to ensure optimal use of the Epic application.
6. Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the use and maintenance of the Epic application.
7. Regularly reviewing and updating the Epic application to ensure it remains up-to-date and aligned with industry standards and best practices.
8. Collaborating with other IT professionals to integrate the Epic application with other systems and applications.
9. Participating in the planning and execution of disaster recovery procedures.
10. Staying abreast of developments in the field of healthcare IT and making recommendations for the adoption of new technologies and practices.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Epic Application Analyst or in a similar role.
3. Certification in Epic applications is a must.
4. Strong knowledge of database design and management, including experience with SQL or other database programming languages.
5. Experience with system integration and data migration.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
8. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
9. A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
10. Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
