We have an immediate need for a Environmental Test Technician at our aerospace location in Rockford, ILL.  The primary focus of this role is to perform various test lab proceedures in support of daily test activities.    
 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
• Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
• Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data and finalize data for review
• Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
• Other - Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• 2-5 years relevant testing experienceUnder General Supervision, can perform certain recurring work independently
• Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results
• Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices; working knowledge of  Aerospace Electrical systems
• Able to use all standard Environmental equipment
• Able to accurately capture necessary data
• Able to understand AC/DC circuits
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. 

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Mostly On-Site Shop Environment 
• Substantial amounts of computer work.
• Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
• Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
• Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks with overtime as needed
• Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
