Environmental Technician - Malace HR

MalaceHR is seeking Environmental Technician's to work at Plant located in Kokomo IN. These individuals will be responsible for handling solid waste, recycling and trash at the plant.

Openings on 6a-2:30p and 6p-2:30a

$15.00/hour ($20/hour when hired direct after 90 days)

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Collect and transport waste within plant to designated storage areas and other waste streams throughout the plant and transports to disposal container or storage room.
• Segregate, sort and package items for recycling
• Operate mobile equipment (fork trucks, pallet jacks, etc.).
• Load semi-trailers, tanks, and roll-off boxes for shipment to disposal facility.
• Perform and document daily equipment inspection prior to use.
• Perform inspections of waste storage areas, and emergency equipment, taking corrective action to eliminate deficiencies identified during the inspection.
• Operate fork truck to load/unload trucks.
• Heavy Lifting, up to 50lbs on regular basis
• Follow all plant- related safety guidelines.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma.
• One-year experience similar experience.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Subject to background and drug screen
