Job Overview:
APTIM is seeking an environmental technician to support environmental site investigation, monitoring, and cleanup projects throughout Northern and Central Valley, California. The ideal candidate is a team player capable of working with others at various commercial facilities and at petroleum and hazardous waste state/government funded project sites. This is an entry to mid-level, full-time position. Enthusiasm, intelligence, and the ability to learn through training, from senior associates, and OJT are essential. Candidate will work in the field with others and eventually grow into an independent role.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
+ Duties may include but are not limited to field collection of environmental samples from building materials, air, soil, surface water, and groundwater.
+ Use and calibrate/maintain environmental instruments to collect samples and report data following industry and regulatory technical procedures.
+ Record technical data in field notes, forms, and reports in accordance with industry and regulatory guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
+ Organizational and prioritizing skills
+ Clearly communicate with other team members verbally and electronically
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
+ Valid driver license with clean record
+ 40-hr HAZWOPER current certificate, or ability to complete the training within one month of hire
+ Overnight travel, some overtime and weekend work may be required periodically
+ Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in all types of climate conditions.
+ Must be able to pass a HAZWOPER physical and ability to wear PPE and a respirator
