Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Environmental Service Worker I - Full Time, Days - Environmental Srvcs - Full-Time - 07:00 AM - 03:0.
In this role, the successful candidate Long Island Community Hospital Medical Center serves a diverse population of patients including those with special needs at all stages of the life cycle ESW I demonstrate the ability to deal effectively with various age groups of patients visitors and staff in order to provide required environmental duties Communication skills must be demonstrated through age specific interactions that enhance customer satisfaction
Job Responsibilities:

- Report to Supervisor for assignment
- Obtain cleaning equipment and insure all cleaning items are in place
- Proceed to destination and introduce self to patient/visitors/employees and briefly explain your assignment
- Ensure 7 Step Cleaning procedure is completed
- Follow 7 Step Cleaning Procedure in vacated patient area including bed sanitizing ensuring linen is clean neat and in excellent condition
- Visually inspects area upon completion of cleaning to ensure appropriate levels of cleaning and neatness have been achieved
- Obtains cleaning supplies and cleaning chemicals to complete assignments
- Stock closet/cart with needed supplies/chemicals to complete required assignments
- Maintains cart in neat clean orderly condition
- Ensures that Environmental cart is not blocking any fire doors
- Follow manufacturer guidelines when using chemicals
- Ensures all chemicals are secured when leaving the area
- Maintains cart in working order
- Reports unsafe equipment and products to supervisor
- Utilizes AIDET with each patient visitor and staff encounter nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;

- Demonstrate competencies related to the 7 step room cleaning procedure
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High school diploma or equivalency in order to follow written work assignments maintain records Approximately one to three months experience to gain knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment use and maintenance Continued education through appropriate seminars workshops participation in departmental meetings inservices attention to LIC policy Good interpersonal skills demonstrable in interactions with staff administrators patients and visitors

Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $44,616.00 - $44,616.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
