The Environmental Services Technician assists the Environmental Services Manager with the overall physical plant, environment, maintenance and cleanliness of the internal community building and external community grounds. Our communities function similar to a beautiful hotel or private club and this position ensures immaculate surroundings and exceptional customer service. The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service,
utilizing courtesy, dignity, and respect in all of the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Assist the housekeeping team
- Assist with grounds and building maintenance projects
- Assist with furniture movement for community event set-up and tear-down
- Assist to ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance work orders are completed on a timely
and thorough basis, including, but not limited to, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
(HVAC), plumbing, electrical repairs, furniture and/or equipment repairs, picking up trash,
keeping common areas neat, sweeping walks and curbs, watering lawn, trees, shrubs, and
flowerbeds, shoveling walks, sanding and salting icy areas - Perform other related work activities as needed
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance field, preferably in the hospitality industry or a senior living community.
- Experience in carpet cleaning, floor care and painting projects strongly preferred
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to walk, climb stairs, bend and squat
- Able to withstand external weather conditions
