Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehab is seeking Part-time (PRN) candidates for its Housekeeping & Laundry department at its Skilled Nursing Facility in Allentown & Fountain Hill.

• Part-time 2-3 days/week 1,000 hours year
• Housekeeping & Laundry PT/PRN positions available
• Positions avail at both Locations: Allentown & Fountain Hill

General Description:

This is cleaning and disinfecting work, at the full performance level, in a County long-term care facility. A position in this class performs mandated procedures, based on Department of Health and Center for Disease Control regulations, to promote clean, infection free, aesthetic conditions throughout the facility. Work involves decontamination on all types of surfaces within patient areas including resident rooms and rest rooms, general cleaning tasks in offices and public areas, and the performance of a full range of floor care procedures including application of finish and carpet care. A position in this class performs these tasks using disinfectants and specialized chemicals and equipment, including power equipment.

A position in this class is differentiated from those in related classes by the routine nature of the duties performed; the specialized nature of the work assigned; the risk of exposure typical to a health care setting; and the required performance of tasks within an environment affected by changing regulations and a work space in which there is constant activity and interaction among residents, families, and staff.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to learn the specific uses of assigned equipment and cleaning products.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, other facility staff, and residents and their families.
• Must have full use of hands, ability to stand for extensive periods, bend, pull, push and lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
