Key Responsibilities:
- Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and Property Assessments:
Utilize your expertise to conduct thorough assessments in accordance with ASTM standards, identifying potential environmental risks on a variety of properties. - Sample Collection and Analysis:
Collect and analyze soil, groundwater, surface water, and air samples, ensuring accuracy and quality in data. - Field Investigations:
Conduct soil borings, monitor wells, and groundwater sampling, with access to a company vehicle for travel. - Data Management:
Maintain detailed field notes, logs, and photographic documentation to support accurate data and findings during property assessments. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations such as CERCLA and RCRA. - Report Preparation:
Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings from ESAs and property assessments for clients and regulatory bodies. - GIS Mapping:
Use GIS software to map and analyze field data for property assessments. - Client Relations:
Build and maintain professional relationships with clients through clear and timely communication.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. - Experience:
2-4 years in environmental science, with Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments and property assessments experience required. - Skills:
- Knowledge of environmental regulations (CERCLA, RCRA) and ASTM standards.
- Proficiency in GIS, Microsoft Office Suite, and report writing.
- Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions. - Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and stakeholder engagement.
