About the Job
As an Environmental Project Manager with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll be involved with environmental projects and provide client-focused customer service in the manufacturing, energy, mining, and real-estate markets. You'll perform tasks such as, due diligence / environmental site assessments, compliance audits, permitting, and multi-media site investigations regarding soil, sediments, surface water, groundwater and soil vapor including drilling oversight and logging of borings, and design for corrective actions. This position will include field work consisting of environmental monitoring/sampling of soil, groundwater, and stormwater. You'll interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials to impact the entire project from concept to development of proposals, managing site investigations, analysis of data and preparation of final work products. Travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- 5-8+ years’ professional engineering or related experience;
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering or a related field;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- E.I.T. or F.E. certification and a Professional Engineer license or Professional Geologist registration (or equivalent) is a plus;
- Environmental Engineering experience;
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project) is preferred;
- HAZWOPER training is a plus;
- Missouri Department of Natural Resources Monitoring Well and Test Hole Installation Registration is a plus;
- Missouri Brownfields/Voluntary Cleanup Program and/or Illinois Site Remediation Program experience is a plus;
- Progressive experience regarding complexity, difficulty and level of responsibility regarding management of environmental projects including proposal development, cost estimating, managing site investigations, analysis of site data, preparation of final work products, interaction with environmental agencies and interaction with clients;
- Solid organizational and time management skills;
- Experience with due diligence, compliance and permitting, site assessments (Phase I and II), subsurface investigations, and corrective action design.
