The Environmental Project Manager will provide direct support and guidance to our clients and serve as a Collaborator within our Environmental Group. Perform and manage the collection of field and laboratory data with guidance of senior staff and support from junior staff. Identify efficiencies for clients and field staff and evaluate data and exposure pathways for additional corrective action or in support of No Further Action determination. While technical expertise is key, this role will include the administrative aspect of project management.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, minimum of 40 hours a week, schedule dictated by client needs
Work Location: Denver, CO: Reliably commute to Denver office daily.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project management of multiple, simultaneous projects for different clients in different industries in a dynamic work environment.
- Coordinate scheduling, data transfer, and reporting with other field staff and project managers.
- Create new project scopes, budgets, and sampling design.
- Experience developing, implementing, and managing environmental, health, and safety policies and supporting culture of workplace safety.
- Advises management and project teams on proper interpretation and implementation of environmental and safety regulations.
- Independently conduct and lead fieldwork efforts.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
- Create educational materials for internal training purposes and lead staff training efforts.
- Consult with federal, state, and local agencies on regulatory issues.
- Business development and management of client relations.
- Create, review, and improve client deliverables including written reports and maps.
- Write technical reports, scientific documents, and client memos by analyzing and interpreting proprietary and public data sets.
- Expand working knowledge of various environmental disciplines.
- Manage and improve QC safety program in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluating/maintaining environmental regulatory compliance in industrial settings.
- Conducting and managing environmental due diligence assessments.
- Excavation safety, Excavation Competent Person.
- Soil investigation and remediation techniques including guiding excavation.
- Field screening and standard sampling of environmental media.
- ArcGIS Pro including map making and database management.
- Demonstrated experience with increasing responsibilities leading teams in a management role.
- Experience in implementing process improvement principles.
- Interpret and manage spatial data using ESRI suite of products, Google Earth, and similar Platforms.
- Perform additional assignments as assigned.
- Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a scientific and non-scientific audience.
- Understanding and interpretation of soil and water quality laboratory data.
- Ability to work in locations that feature rough terrain and to enter and work within facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities.
- Self-sufficient, self-motivated, and ability to work under pressure of deadlines.
- Interest and proficiency in investigative work, with high attention to detail.
- Effective self-leadership with results orientation.

- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, geology, environmental engineering, or related field.
- 6-12 years of environmental consulting experience.
- 5 years of experience with federal, state, and local EHS regulatory compliance.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Professional Environmental Auditor, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Hazardous Material Manager, and/or other related environmental certifications.
- Federal, State, and local regulatory knowledge.
- Willing to attend environmental training courses on a variety of topics.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Travel to client sites, some overnight travel when necessary.
- Working hours can involve working extra hours and weekends.
- Lifting heavy objects, include weight maximums (i.e., up to 50 lbs.)
- Ability to pass a HAZWOPER physical and be medically able to wear a tight-fitting respirator.
- Repetitive tasks that are physically demanding
- Walking long distance over rugged terrain.
