Base Salary: $75,000-$85,000/yr
Job Summary:
The Environmental Planner, will play a key role in our client's renewable energy and transmission site development efforts. Drawing upon your 8-10 years of environmental consulting and permitting experience, you will engage in various aspects of project management, including feasibility studies, local and state permitting, field investigations, and contract management. Your work will directly contribute to the advancement of renewable energy initiatives, helping to shape a more sustainable future for our world.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage renewable energy development projects, overseeing all phases from conception to completion.
- Conduct environmental planning assessments and provide strategic guidance to project teams.
- Support permitting activities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, addressing inquiries and providing project updates.
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing project findings, recommendations, and next steps.
- Contribute to proposal development and business development efforts, leveraging your expertise to secure new opportunities.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field, required.
- 8-10 years of professional consulting experience, with a focus on environmental planning and renewable energy projects.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams.
- Prior experience with utility-scale and/or distributed generation solar energy projects in New York State is desirable.
- Familiarity with FERC regulations and permitting processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required; experience with ArcGIS is advantageous.
