We are seeking a dedicated Environmental / Industrial Hygienist - IAQ Site Tech to join our team. This role involves managing on-site day-to-day activities, controlling air quality during remediation, and providing site inspections across Michigan. - Project Oversight: Ensure contractor compliance during renovation projects to meet safety standards.
- Sample Collection: Collect and analyze air quality samples to assess environmental conditions.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor project schedules and performance to ensure timely completion.
- Reporting: Compile and review field reports, and handle submissions to regulatory bodies.
- Inspections and Testing: Conduct visual inspections and perform clearance testing to verify project compliance.
- On-Site Management: Manage on-site day-to-day activities and control air quality during remediation.
- Construction Knowledge: Understand and manage ductwork, framing, and drywall processes.
- Professional Representation: Uphold a professional and ethical demeanor in all interactions.
- Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel extensively across Michigan.
- Physical Ability: Capable of carrying equipment weighing approximately 30 pounds.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to operate a phase contrast microscope.
- Construction Knowledge: Background in construction with a willingness to learn new trades; able to understand and discuss ductwork, framing, and drywall.
- IAQ Experience: Experience in IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) testing and management preferred but not required.
- Remediation Knowledge: Understanding of commercial or residential construction and the ability to effectively communicate with remediation subcontractors.

- Because our projects are spread out over the entire state our team members can be as well. Typical travel is from your home to the job site and back on a daily/weekly basis. The majority of our sites are within 2 hours of the central Michigan area.
