The day-to-day:
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety, health, and environmental policies, programs, and training to ensure the company is compliant.
- Inspect and audit areas of the manufacturing plant.
- Maintain EHS files and records to be always audit-ready.
- Establish and maintain accurate recordkeeping of inspections, procedures, and JHA's.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly testing, inspections, and reporting for various EHS tasks as assigned by leadership.
- Help establish a plan of action to promote employee involvement in accident prevention activities.
- Help maintain a commitment-based safety culture; develop and analyze leading indicators for the prevention of accidents and create/execute a continuous improvement plan.
- Help conduct specific EHS training for employees as needed (New hire training, OSHA, etc.)
- Assist in accident investigations, and root cause analysis, and ensure data is recorded in the company's safety management system.
- Help maintain a system for reporting, monitoring, and correcting serious safety problems.
- Assist in reviewing, updating, and implementing EHS programs for the site.
- Help collaborate with local Human Resources in the administration of Workers' Compensation.
- Help communicate and partner effectively with external medical providers, consultants, vendors, and contractors.
- Follow all IAC - Arlington policies and procedures.
- Partner effectively with Corporate EH&S leaders.
- Other duties as assigned.
We want to talk to you if you have:
- A bachelor's degree in a safety or environmental-related field from an accredited 4-year university preferred
- 1 – 5 years of related safety/environmental experience in a manufacturing and or warehouse environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety management
- Strong understanding of EHS, OSHA, and accident investigation
- Intermediate to advanced expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
- Work in a team environment; ability to work a flexible schedule
