Title: Environmental Health and Safety Administrator
Accountable To: Site EHS Manager and Site Construction Manager
Basic Objective: The EHS Administrator supports worksite Management in establishing and continuously improving the EHS culture within the worksite by tracking leading and lagging indicators.
Qualification Requirements:
- Experience as an Administrator specific to EHS.
- Completion of basic safety courses such as OSHA 30-Hour Construction or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Working knowledge of basic EHS Management Systems.
- Familiarity with company EHS Policies.
- Additional training as determined by the Regional or Global EHS Director.
Responsibilities:
- Assist EHS team with tracking leading and lagging indicators
- Assist Line Management in:
-Monitoring EHS objectives.
-Document local EHS procedures, work instructions and checklists as required.
-Document EHS plans that define how the EHS Management System is implemented at the
site level.
-Complete customer required EHS reports in a timely and accurate manner.
-Closing issues in BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Report Work Hours to Regional Safety Director monthly.
- Track on site High Risk Activities.
- Document Site Specific Safety Plan.
- Work with customer Safety representatives on any issues that arise.
- Participate in customer Safety meetings.
- Conduct weekly site inspections at a minimum.
- Enter site inspections and findings in DataScope.
- Work with Management to develop site safety objectives and track progress monthly.
- Trend safety observations monthly.
- Send out Safety Training completion percentages quarterly.
- Stop any unsafe act immediately!
- Document the appropriate EHS training of Company and contractor personnel.
- Maintain and/or assure maintenance of records necessary to demonstrate compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Ensure emergency response drills are documented as required locally.
- Ensure all incidents are reported as immediately.
- Maintain employee and contractor training records.
- Maintain the site safety recognition program.
- Manage DataScope reporting.
Authorities:
Company employees and contractors have the responsibility and authority to stop work when an imminent hazard to people, property or the environment is identified. Appropriate measures shall be taken to eliminate or mitigate the hazard before resuming work. Work shall not resume until all parties involved have agreed the hazard has been appropriately addressed. Company will support any employee or contractor, in any circumstance, that takes this action.
