This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, while also upholding our commitment to environmental sustainability. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs that comply with local, state, and federal regulations. This includes ensuring our operations meet the standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Department of Transportation (DOT), and OSHA. You will also be tasked with preparing and submitting compliance reports to relevant agencies.
20% travel required to across the East Coast and Canada.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS programs that comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with EHS standards.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to the EPA, DOT, OSHA, and other relevant agencies.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on EHS regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS considerations into business decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in EHS regulations and industry practices.
- Promote a positive safety culture within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role in the Manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including those set by the EPA, DOT, and OSHA.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS programs.
- Strong ability to prepare and submit compliance reports.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential EHS issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and guide staff on EHS matters.
- Certification in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Professional, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of safety within an organization.
