Full Time - Exempt - M-F 8:00am to 4:30pm. $95K to $104K annually. Reports to Site Director.
We have 4 Alternative work shift schedules - 4 days, 10hrs. M- S.

Job Description: The EHS Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for our facility and adhering to relevant environmental and health laws and regulations. Promoting a culture of safety within the organization, managing workplace risks, conducting safety audits, investigating incidents, identifying potential hazards, enforcing safety regulations, and providing training to employees, aiming to minimize injuries and environmental impact within the workplace. Maintain ISO Management Systems, coordinate and manage the environmental, health, and safety programs. This person will report to the Site Manager and work closely with the Operations team. Must possess strong leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and manage EHS Programs in a manner that ensures the site operates in a safe and compliant manner.
- Making daily inspections of the facilities areas to make certain the highest standards of safety are being met.
- Assist facility leadership with the development of short and long-term EH&S objectives, targets, strategies, and measures that prioritize and mitigate risks.
- Provide leadership and direction to achieve the EH&S vision by engaging Site Leadership, developing working relationships with Area Supervision, and promoting employee ownership and decision rights.
- Work directly with corporate EHS team on environmental, health, and safety initiatives and reporting.
- Maintain all safety and environmental records with timely submission of required reports as required by law.
- Coordinate regular EHS training with all employees in the facility including but not limited to initial safety orientation, annual safety training, pre-shift safety talks, monthly EHS topics etc.
- Issue guidelines and directives to the staff on a regular basis and ensure that the guidelines and rules are properly followed.
- Develop applicable EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local legislation and codes governing environmental health and safety.
- Manage and properly interface with regulatory agencies, site safety committee members, and contractor representatives as required.
- Perform various EHS related checks on a routine basis in the plant and correct the issues found.
- Perform appropriate incident investigations and track follow-up actions as required by Corporate EHS requirements.
- Track, report, and analyze safety and environmental KPI data to drive EHS performance.
- Working with site HR, file and maintain workers compensation records/communications.
- Manage site ISO certification efforts, working with site management to ensure proper resources are in place to maintain and/or obtain certifications in 9001, 22001, 14001, 45001, 50001, and others that may apply.
- Manage the development of safety training materials which includes translating into Spanish.
- Orders, distributes, and maintain inventory of PPE, safety and first aid supplies.
- Other duties as required by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental safety, Occupational safety and health or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- CSHM certification desired, CA title 22/24 and Cal OSHA knowledge and compliance.
- Demonstrate broad knowledge of state and federal safety guidelines for the workplace.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, and environmental protection standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, attentive to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Represents Indorama to government agencies (Health, Fire Department, AQMD etc.) to ensure compliance.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

- Ensure that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily available when needed.
- Experience in report writing related to safety audits, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with occupational health practices and the ability to fabricate solutions for identified hazards.
- CPR Certified first aid is desirable; additional EHS certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff at all levels in safety practices.
- Ability to conduct site walks/inspections in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Working Conditions:
- Work requires normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Corrected hearing and vision to normal acceptable range.
- A significant amount of time will be spent in a production environment.
- Production areas are not climate controlled and may experience extreme temperatures.
- This position requires 4-6 hours per day standing and/or walking.
- This position requires the ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Flexibility to work, Day/Evening/Night/Weekends and Holidays when needed.
