Position Summary:
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Administrator at Worldpac plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of EHS programs and initiatives. This position is responsible for administrative tasks related to EHS compliance, reporting, and training across U.S. and Canadian operations. The EHS Administrator works closely with the EHS Manager, site leadership, and employees to promote a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
EHS Program Support:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring compliance with U.S. (OSHA, EPA) and Canadian (Provincial, Federal) regulations.
- Monitor and track compliance with regional safety and environmental standards.
- Maintain and organize EHS documentation, including policies, procedures, and records for operations in both the U.S. and Canada.
Training and Communication:
- Schedule and coordinate EHS training sessions for employees in the U.S. and Canada, ensuring regional compliance.
- Maintain training records and ensure all employees meet local training requirements.
- Distribute EHS communications, updates, and safety alerts tailored to both U.S. and Canadian regulations.
Incident Reporting and Tracking:
- Support the reporting and documentation of workplace incidents, near misses, and safety observations in both regions.
- Maintain incident logs and assist in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in root cause analysis and tracking corrective actions for U.S. and Canadian operations.
Compliance and Audits:
- Conduct routine site inspections to ensure compliance with EHS policies and local regulations in both countries.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and support as needed for Canadian and U.S. requirements.
- Track and ensure timely completion of corrective actions identified during audits or inspections.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Collect and compile EHS performance metrics for U.S. and Canadian operations, preparing reports for management.
- Maintain EHS databases and ensure data accuracy and integrity for both regions.
- Support the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, permits, and reports in the U.S. and Canada.
Administrative Support:
- Manage EHS-related purchase orders, invoices, and budget tracking across U.S. and Canadian operations.
- Maintain inventory of safety equipment and supplies for both countries.
- Coordinate scheduling for EHS meetings, inspections, and initiatives for North American operations.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in an EHS or administrative support role, with experience supporting Canadian operations strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Canadian provincial/federal regulations is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with EHS management software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a plus.
