Environmental Department Manager - Professional Service Industries Inc

PSI, an Intertek company, is searching for an Environmental Department Manager to join our Building & Constructionteam in our Nashville, TNoffice. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry!

The Environmental Department Manager will support the Environmental Services aspects of our Building and Construction business throughout the Tennessee Region.

The Building & Construction team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services and building science solutions to deliver Total Quality Assurance to the built environment. The team offers the architectural, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry with a full suite of capabilities both in the lab and on site.

What you'll do:

• Manage clients, staff, and projects ranging from small to large scale complex scope of work.
• Lead the sales process to include development and implementation of sales plans utilizing Business Development Manager(s) and project manager staff.
• Responsible for overseeing multi-discipline consulting services including, but not limited to environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, remediation design and implementation, Voluntary Cleanup sites, industrial hygiene (indoor air quality, asbestos, lead, mold, etc.) and more.
• Responsible for managing staff, including scheduling, personnel hiring, mentorship and training, and regular performance reviews, etc.
• Responsible for managing and reporting all financial aspects of the department on a monthly basis.
• Responsible for managing the internal Project Management process for preparing and submitting environmental consulting proposals and reports according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Industrial Hygiene is required
• 2+ years of environmental project management experience required; experience in environmental consulting industry highly preferred
• Experience in preparing public sector (city, county, and state) submittals and managing associated projects required
• Must have client experience and be able to interact and build relationships with clients
• Professional registration/certification is preferred (P.G., P.E., CHMM, CIH, CSP)
• Must be able to multiple task with staff, clients, project deadlines, and assignments
• Must be able to perform tasks in varying field/office conditions
• Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have knowledge of remedial applications (in situ, traditional, innovative, etc.), design implementation, and system operation and maintenance
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required)
