You will be a crucial player in supporting environmental investigation, assessment and remediation projects. Your expertise will be needed to integrate database tools with computational and GIS technologies to provide high-quality risk assessment and analysis. This position requires a professional with a strong understanding of data management and analytics, SQL, GIS Software, and CADD software.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the environmental data management system (EQuIS) to ensure its optimal operation.
- Provide vital support for environmental investigation, assessment, and remediation projects.
- Integrate database tools with computational and GIS technologies to deliver high-quality risk assessments and analysis.
- Develop and lead standard operating procedures and ensure electronic data deliverables meet the highest standards.
- Manage and analyze complex datasets, using SQL, GIS Software, and CADD software.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify, design and implement the most effective and efficient data solutions for the company's needs.
- Ensure data security and compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the database and its operation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role, with 2-8 years of experience supporting environmental investigation, assessment and remediation projects.
- Proficiency in SQL, GIS Software, and CADD software.
- Experience with leading an environmental data management system (EQuIS or similar such as Locus).
- Strong understanding of data management and analytics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations.
- A passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
