We are seeking a passionate and skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the continued success and expansion of our environmental compliance practice. Requirements
- Deliver high-impact environmental compliance projects to clients.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies that drive growth in the environmental compliance practice.
- Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, and proposals that align with client objectives and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all deliverables meet rigorous quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) standards for accuracy and compliance.
- Support and mentor project staff, fostering professional growth and enhancing team performance.
- Oversee daily operations within the environmental compliance practice, ensuring efficient project execution and client satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, public health, environmental engineering, environmental law, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in environmental compliance consulting, including hazardous waste management, permitting, compliance audits, regulatory reporting (e.g., SARA, TURA, air emissions), and management systems.
- Professional certifications such as CHMM, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, QEP, PE/EIT or CPEA are highly desirable. A professional development plan will be provided for obtaining required credentials if not already held.
- Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction Planner (TURP) certification must be obtained within nine months of hire.
- U.S. Citizenship required; active federal security clearance preferred or ability to obtain a federal security clearance.
- Experience with federal environmental compliance proposals preferred.
- Proven ability to complete projects accurately, on time, and within budget.
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
Location
This is a hybrid position based out of the firm’s Corporate Headquarters located in Stoneham, MA office or out of our Alexandria, VA office.
