Pay: $43-48/hr
Overview:
Ensures company compliance with environmental, chemical, waste management, and permit regulations at various locations in Northern Virginia, associated with the client's Electric Distribution operational teams. Share responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of work sites, to comply with regulatory and company Environmental, Health and Safety standards and procedures. Communicate and prepare reports for submittal internally, externally, to governmental agencies and customers. Support the client's employees and other contracted staff, inspect, or assess, and provide recommendations regarding environmental compliance issues to personnel responsible for compliance tasks and management. Provide environmental training to site personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, spill prevention, erosion, and sediment control and other environmental compliance topics and requirements.
What are the top (at least 3 if possible) “must have” skill sets (technical/functional) which are required?
- Environmental Field Experience
- Erosion & Sediment Control and Stormwater Certifications
- Experience related to environmental regulations and applicable environmental requirements for environmental scope and permits.
What are the top “nice to have” skill sets?
- Experience with an electric utility
- Experience with conducting project inspections
- Experience working within a team

Education
- Bachelors in an Environmental discipline
Industry Experience:
- Utility experience
