We are seeking candidates for a Staff Accountant position with a leading manufacturing company located in Durham, NH. This position will be responsible for inventory valuation and product costing, capital expenditure management, and project accounting. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a large manufacturing environment.
This is a direct hire position that will pay a base salary of $75-85k (depending on experience). This role runs on a hybrid work model, onsite 3 days/wk.

We are seeking candidates for a Staff Accountant position with a leading manufacturing company located in Durham, NH. This position will be responsible for inventory valuation and product costing, capital expenditure management, and project accounting. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monitoring inventories (component materials, rework, and finished goods) to ensure accuracy
- Verify physical counts, analyzing cycle count adjustments, research of count variances, reconciling perpetual records to the general ledger
- Assist with Operations team to ensure proper product set-up (for standard costs) for new or existing items
- Update existing products as needed
- Maintain and prepare standard cost estimates
- Prepare analysis of product costs, purchase price variances, freight charges
- Prepare analysis of warranty and RMA claims
- Manage capital expense programs, work with project managers to understand actual costs vs budget and anticipate potential cost overruns
- Perform month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling inventory perpetual records, and preparing account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly margin and expense variance analysis; support the controllers to prepare financial cost analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 1+ years of accounting experience
- Large manufacturing experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of SAP preferred
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work with various departments
