Dross Berman LLC is seeking an entry-level Korean-speaking Legal Assistant to join our dedicated team. This position offers a valuable learning experience in a boutique law firm specializing in personal injury cases.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys.
- Assist with case management by organizing and maintaining files, including client documents, medical records, and other evidence.
- Communicating with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
- Interpret and translate legal documents, conversations, and meetings between Korean speaking clients and attorneys.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and Korean, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal research tools.
- Professional demeanor, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a related legal support role is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with personal injury law or a genuine interest in this area of practice.
