Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking a highly motivated **Civil Engineer** to support geotechnical, civil infrastructure, and mine tailings projects as part of the Mining group in **Denver, Colorado.** The position will involve working on mine tailings dam and water dam projects to conduct geotechnical investigations and analyses. _This position is expected to begin in May or June 2025._ The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Planning, implementing, and overseeing geotechnical exploration programs (30% travel/field time). + Assisting with laboratory testing assignments. + Performing geotechnical evaluations including material characterization, liquefaction, seepage, slope stability, and settlement analyses. + Preparing calculation packages. + Assisting with the development of geotechnical reports, drawings and specifications. + Preparing and presenting technical presentations of evaluation results to internal team. + Review geotechnical instrumentation and assist with the preparation of instrumentation monitoring reports. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + BA/BS in Civil Engineering + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. **Preferred Qualifications** + EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months. + Masters Degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical Emphasis. + Basic Knowledge of industry software such as GeoStudio, Utexas, Grapher and AutoCAD Civil3D. + Field/Construction experience; dams experience a plus. + Familiarity with design reports, drawings and specifications. + Excellent Verbal and written communication skills. + Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills. + Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment. + Exhibits initiative, responsibility and flexibility. + Resourceful, highly organized, and detail oriented. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. + Effective time-management and interpersonal Skills. + Ability to work independently and in a team environment. **Additional Information** Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
