Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Oversight:
- Lead and guide the work of the Data Analyst and Senior Data Analyst teams.
- Drive the implementation of the organization's data roadmap.
- Promote the adoption of a new data platform across departments.
- Support departmental business intelligence (BI) activities.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies across the organization.
- Implement and manage a comprehensive data catalog.
- Develop and uphold data quality standards and practices.
- Track and report on progress for all data initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
- Foster a data-driven culture within the organization.
- Collaborate with Business Relationship Partners to identify data needs and solutions.
- Provide or coordinate training on data-related tools and processes.
- Facilitate a data community of practice within the organization.
- Advocate for the use of data analytics to inform decision-making.
- Promote data visualization and dashboard development across departments.
- Evaluate and integrate new data technologies and methodologies to enhance the organization's data maturity.
- Identify and encourage opportunities to leverage publicly accessible open data.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions.
- Conduct advanced data analysis, build predictive models, and apply machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights.
- Design and develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate data insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 7+ years in data engineering, data science, and BI report development, with proven leadership in data initiatives.
- Proven experience in data governance, data management, and business intelligence.
- Strong leadership experience with a background in overseeing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of data privacy and security regulations.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools and platforms (ideally Power BI).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong ability to drive organizational change and foster a data-driven culture.
- Proven project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing data initiatives.
