About the Job
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Architect to join our team in Doral, FL .
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Provide leadership, accountability and expertise to ensure all IT and cyber systems across a large, complex, heterogeneous, geographically dispersed enterprise meet user mission requirements, are interoperable, and are defensible.
+ Collaborate with a team of technical experts and leaders to design, create, manage and optimize the client’s data architecture and data access controls.
+ Functional activities include data ownership, stewardship, governance, centricity and decision support approaches.
+ Collaborate to design data models; support system development and integration; support data governance; and collaborate with stakeholders internal to the team and with the government to maximize the performance, interoperability and defensibility of all systems.
+ Prepare and deliver information regarding data architecture and data management to government and contractor leadership as required.
+ Develop and implement data governance, policies, procedures and standards to ensure the accuracy, consistency, stewardship and efficacy of outcome-based enterprise decision support frameworks, insight solutions, and multi-modal delivery mechanisms.
+ Provide leadership, best practices and approaches for the strategic oversight of enterprise data at all levels (strategic, operational, tactical, transactional, cyber, etc.)
+ Provide experienced-based leadership, coordination, and oversight of necessary data-specific subject matter experts; including but not limited to: data architect(s), data scientist(s), data analyst(s), data visualization SME(s), data engineer(s), business intelligence analyst(s), etc. Drive collaboration across disciplines achieving complex objectives and outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management or related technical field or a minimum of 10 years of relevant Data Architecture experience.
+ Five (5+) or more years of experience serving as a Data Architect for a large, heterogeneous enterprise.
+ Demonstrated expertise and experience developing data models and solving problems related to Data Architecture.
+ Demonstrated expertise and experience conceiving and implementing data tagging, labeling, and classification approaches/schemas for mission critical operations
+ Demonstrated experience with technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Splunk, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and large language models, and cloud solutions including MS Azure, AWS and Google Cloud.
+ Demonstrated experience with relevant processessuch as to data security and access controls, API design and development, Big Data analytics and management, ETL, data governance and quality, and cloud data services
+ Experience solving problems related to data ownership, stewardship, governance, centricity and decision support approaches
+ Superior written and oral communications skills and experience interacting with senior executives
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Three (3+) or more years of experience implementing data services in accordance with DoD Policy and guidelines.
+ Familiarity/Experience with Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
+ Familiarity/Experience with Zero Trust Architecture, including Data Pillar capabilities and activities
+ A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management or related technical field.
+ Executive level communications skills (written & oral) comfortable interacting and influencing the customer CDO (chief data officer), the KMO (knowledge management officer), as well as IT and cybersecurity leadership.
+ Possess a broad foundation of system engineering experience that spans the data lifecycle, with detailed insights into data management, governance, and transformation approaches.
+ Possess a working knowledge of the following data-related topics: data tagging, characterization, masking, encryption, etc. approaches; structured & unstructured data; metadata management, on-prem, multi-cloud, hybrid data ecosystems management, utilization, optimization, data forms (unclassified, CUI, classified, top secret, PII, etc.), data sharing from/to/with mission partners/allies, foreign countries / militaries
Clearance Requirements:
+ Must have a current/active Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
+ The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
