Overview Summary
The End User Hardware Engineer provides technical expertise specific to hardware to strengthen the reliability, efficiency, and performance of the enterprise. It is critical that this role be a technical partner to implement established standards and procedures which support the enterprise's managed infrastructure along with ensuring operational stability. This role is responsible for implementing reliable Hardware and AV solutions that maintain the integrity of the existing infrastructure as well as meet the customer objectives. Works effectively in a team to establish synergies with IT peers across the enterprise. Core Accountabilities
Gathering business and technical requirements for hardware solutions in the hardware and AV space. (MTR Kits / Conference Room Camera / Audio Equipment / laptops / desktops / displays / mobile devices / printers/ peripherals).
Work with AV Operations team to support existing implementations and partner on evaluations of new technology.
Setting and maintaining standards of AV Equipment for the various conference room sizes and configurations
Make decisions around hardware configurations, computer images, systems specifications.
Coordinating and leading in the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support for multiple complex platforms of large size and complexity (hardware, operating systems, software, systems tools, and IT processes).
Evaluate business requirements and recommend hardware that will enhance availability, reliability, scalability, and security, while consistently driving down total cost of ownership.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware deployments (Bios/firmware/drivers)
Design and document enterprise standards and procedures
Ensure platforms/systems conform to established enterprise/industry standards (systems management, security, operating systems, etc.) and reference models.
Provide technical support, as needed, to the enterprise.
Create detailed documentation for all engineering solutions.
Maintain lifecycle of hardware across large enterprise with over 100k devices
Manage existing and new vendor relationships for hardware partners in the AV and hardware industry.Years of Related Experience
3 years of progressively responsible work experience specifically in Enterprise Endpoint Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and/or AV Solutions.
3+ years of experience with integrating multiple complex solutions into one standard enterprise solution. Knowledge, Skills and abilities (Required)
