A strategic, influential, thought leader focused on guiding the maturation of business and technology capabilities, products, and services across the enterprise, as an **Enterprise Architect** you will act as the bridge between Premera Business and IT Leadership, Solution Architects, and the SMEs to ensure that Corporate and line of business strategies and goals are coherent and achieved. In this role, you will work within and across the architecture disciplines in Business, Information, Application, Integration, Platform, and Security to develop strategies, optimize portfolios, establish 3-5 year enterprise roadmaps, and establish an architecture runway of enablers.
**This is a virtual/telecommuter position, working from home.**
**What you'll do:**
+ Act as a trusted advisor to senior IT and Business leadership. Provide informed advice and support on overall technology capabilities to enable business and customers.
+ Lead architecture initiatives to mature capabilities across the enterprise.
+ Contribute to and influence overall Business and IT strategy and roadmaps.
+ Work cross-functionally to understand the lineage between Business goals, Business strategy, IT strategy, Architecture (Business, Information, Application, Platform and Security), and strive to further business goals via evolution of architectures, practices and patterns, and current state to future state.
+ Ensure that project management or solution delivery life cycle efforts leverage all aspects of enterprise architecture (EA) separately by EA viewpoint (for example, business, information, technology, and security).
+ Analyze enterprise business context (trends and business strategy), requirements, and other EA viewpoints to lead collaboration in solution development and to guide decisions for the enterprise.
+ Collaborate on governance activities associated with ensuring overall architecture integrity.
+ Champion architecture best practices with technology teams through the development of reusable tools, formal and informal communication, and educational activities.
+ Responsible for building effective working relationships, making sound decisions, and successfully managing change.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert or education point of contact across multiple domains to guide technology and strategy decisions and communicate enterprise-wide issues to team and decision makers.
+ Compile, deliver, and evangelize end-to-end roadmaps and models, including solution patterns, to drive the evolution of security, infrastructure, processes, products, and services for the entire enterprise.
**What you'll bring:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or (5) years of experience in information technology or architect position. **(Required)**
+ (7) years of experience in architecture design and implementation with at least (5) years of experience in an area of specialty. **(Required)**
+ Graduate degree such as MBA/MA/MS in Information Technology, Engineering, Business or other related field preferred.
+ (3) years of experience in solution architecture, strategy, and/or IT planning experience preferred. Can be concurrent with other IT experience.
+ (5-7) years of experience in at least two IT disciplines in a service-oriented architecture environment, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or operations preferred.
+ Healthcare industry experience preferred.
+ Intermediate knowledge of financial models and budgeting. Ability to estimate the financial impact of enterprise and solution architecture alternatives.
+ Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes.
+ Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments with knowledge of all components of an enterprise architecture.
+ Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies.
+ Strong understanding of services-based architecture, object-oriented analysis, design, and/or client/server systems.
+ Ability to translate business and technology needs into solution architecture requirements and ability to apply multiple technical solutions to business problems.
+ Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
+ Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership (including Vice Presidents and CIO) and be respected as a leader in advancing strategies.
+ Demonstrated knowledge and experience with diverse corporate IT operations, major IT programs, systems integration, and technical architecture at Enterprise and inter-Enterprise levels.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.
**National Salary Range:**
$112,900.00 - $191,900.00
**National Plus Salary Range:**
$128,700.00 - $218,800.00
_*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska_ _._
