Job Description:
As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of technology solutions to modernize public health data systems. You will collaborate closely with the Director, Data Strategy Administrators, and other stakeholders. This role is pivotal in achieving successful data modernization and will involve developing a technical roadmap that aligns with the Client’s vision and priorities, architecting robust, scalable, and secure data systems, driving innovative solutions to enhance data collection, analysis, and dissemination for better public health decision-making, and providing technical guidance and support to ensure the effective use of modern data technologies.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $90.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a technical roadmap for data modernization that aligns with the Client’s vision and priorities
- Architect robust, scalable, and secure data systems that can handle modern public health surveillance demands
- Drive innovative solutions to enhance data collection, analysis, and dissemination for better public health decision-making
- Provide technical guidance and support to ensure effective use of modern data technologies
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in programming languages, database management, system design, networking, cloud services, DevOps practices, and cybersecurity measures
- Hands-on experience in roles such as software developer, systems analyst, or network engineer to build a technical foundation
- Leadership and communication skills to lead teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strategic planning and road mapping ability to outline technological direction and assess the impact of new technologies
- Proficiency in modeling and diagramming tools and methodologies for designing IT systems
- Experience in integrating various systems to create cohesive solutions that meet organizational needs
- Knowledge of security protocols and measures to protect sensitive public health data
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies to improve system deployment and operational efficiency
- Experience performing analysis, designing, documenting, and implementing an organization’s enterprise architecture structural framework
- Knowledge of information technology (IT) information and analytics platforms and products (e.g., Data Bricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience in the health industry
