IT professional responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of the IT enterprise architecture strategy for the organization, ensuring that the technology aligns with the business goals by analyzing business needs, defining IT architecture, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement solutions that optimize efficiency, scalability and innovation across the enterprise. Essentially acting as the "architect" of an organization's technology landscape, balancing business objectives with technical considerations.
Assists with overseeing the development and implementation of IT architecture applications. Conducts business reviews, assesses current applications and identifies requirements, develops plans. Manages how to best use applications, in alignment with organizational objectives.
Works with Innovation Technology and Delivery Leadership and business partners to set strategic direction for the technology to conduct business transactions and services.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:Strategic Planning:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise architecture vision, roadmap, and standards to guide IT decision-making and future technology investments.
Architecture Design:
- Define and document the overall IT architecture, including application, data, infrastructure, and network components, considering scalability, performance, and security.
Solution Evaluation:
- Assess new technologies and solutions to determine their suitability for the enterprise architecture and alignment with business needs.
Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate architecture plans and decisions to stakeholders across the organization, including technical teams, business units, and senior management.
Technical Guidance:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams to ensure solutions adhere to established architectural principles.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks associated with the IT architecture and develop mitigation strategies.
Cost Optimization:
- Analyze and optimize IT spending by identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor the implementation of the architecture, identify areas for improvement, and adapt the architecture as needed.
Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge and significant work experience in the following areas:
- Application Development
- Digital Strategies
- SDLC
- Agile
- Telecommunications technologies including voice and data
- Network architecture and design
- Internet/Intranet technologies
- Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
- SOA and Enterprise Service Bus Technologies
- Electronic Commerce concepts including Health Care Information Networks
- Application development methodology
- Cloud based technology
- Data Sciences
Skills:
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, including applications, databases, networks, and cloud technologies
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders
- Architectural design skills, including modeling and documentation tools
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies
- Leadership and ability to influence decision-making at all levels
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years work experience in Information Technology including experience in Enterprise Architecture, technology solutioning and analysis experience.
- Strong individual planning, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively motivate, lead and monitor members of a project team and direct assigned staff towards set goals. Includes developing and maintaining positive, professional relationships with CBC and Information Technology management to effectively coordinate activities between the two entities.
- Ability to prepare quality written materials for various internal/external audiences and deliver oral presentations to all levels of management, board of directors, and Consumer Advisory Council when appropriate.
- Demonstrated success in leading large scale, visible projects through the use of matrix management techniques and leading-edge project management methodologies.
- In addition to the analysis background, the Enterprise Architect will possess a broad background in different sectors, and it is desirable to have experience and knowledge in at least one aspect of the business. This is necessary to allow the Enterprise Architect to dialog with business people and management on their terms.
Education, Certification, and Licenses:
- 4 year College degree in Appropriate field. Master’s preferred
Location:
- This position is classified hybrid, which requires onsite work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

- High paced agile office environment

- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and see.
- The employee must be able to work over 40 hours per week.
