Overview:

We are looking for a passionate, collaborative, and driven Enterprise Applications Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for all aspects of enterprise applications including, system management, system architecture, needs analysis, data management, and configuration for specialized and integrated programs for SILAC Insurance Company. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience with the selection, implementation, integration, and ongoing support of enterprise applications. The candidate will have proven patterns of supporting various technologies and implementing best practices to support enterprise applications.

Job Details:

• Support the configuration and management of a wide variety of enterprise applications including in-house developed applications, CRM, workflow, etc.

• Participate in the vendor selection process and provide technical support during implementation of third-party software.
• Review and evaluate third-party software solutions to determine if the tool is a candidate to integrate with SILAC systems and programs.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate third-party tools and data with other software solutions.
• Maintain all data for third-party applications including data security, management, backup, and archival processes.
• Understand DR (Disaster Recovery) and BCP (Business Continuity Planning) requirements and capabilities of all enterprise applications and contribute to DR / BCP.
• Investigate and resolve enterprise application issues or escalate to the proper teams, including vendors or in-house technical staff.
• Work with the technology and business teams to streamline processes and communication with third-party application vendors.
• Update all third-party enterprise applications to the most recent and secure version, while preventing unexpected changes to business functionality when updates occur.
• Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment while demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
• Maintain frequent communication with peers and various IT teams to maintain awareness of issues or changing processes.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Requirements:

• Experience with cloud-based SaaS applications and systems.
• Ability to complete ETL (export, transform, load) where necessary to integrate data to and from on premises systems.
• Ability to complete root cause analysis as required to trouble shoot systemic issues.
• Ability to work during off hours occasionally may be required.
• 3 to 4 years of hands-on technical experience is required.
• 1 to 2 years of hands-on SQL scripting is required.
• Effective stress management in a constantly changing environment.
• Excellent judgment and the ability to make quick decisions when working with complex situations.
• Forward thinking with strong business acumen.
• High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and confidence.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• High level of interpersonal and communication skills to interact with leaders at multiple levels and facilitate team/ cross-team interactions.

Desired Experience:

• 1 to 2 years of Computer Science or Software Development experience is preferred.
• Exposure and experience to insurance or finance is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) is preferred.
• Scripting skills with languages such as Python / Perl / PowerShell / Bash Shell / Batch is preferred.
• Experience with low-code configurations and programming is preferred.
• Experience with multiple operating systems such as Linux and Windows OS is preferred.
• Experience working on Agile teams is preferred.
