About the Job
American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. seeks Engineers to serve as a core member of an engineering team to develop digital and automated solutions for our customers. Develop and design software applications, translating user needs into systems architecture. Assess and validate application performance and integration of component systems and provide process flow diagrams. Test the engineering resilience of software and automation tools. Assess and incorporate user story analysis and elaboration to optimize software solution. Apply visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts. Reengineer systems and code for continuous improvement.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with platform engineering, architecture, design, and implementation. Experience must include: 2 years of experience with each of the following: Defining and designing technical specifications; monitoring and maintaining software installation and configuration; infrastructure planning and performance tuning; analyzing user requirements; and AWS/GCP and hybrid cloud platforms, Big Data, Cassandra, CISCO UCS management, Flume, Hadoop, HBase, HDFS, Hive, Java, Kafka, Kubernetes, Microservices, Oozie, Oracle, Pig, Python, Selenium, Shell Scripting, Spark, Sqoop, SQL, and Unix. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
Job Location: Phoenix, AZ
Rate of Pay: $151,757.00 – $155,000.00 annually
