Job Summary:
Supermicro is looking for an experienced Engineering Technician to join our sever production team.The potential candidate are responsible for assembly, testing and repair systems and the support of the complete server and storage solutions.We are looking for someone who will jump right in and take the reigns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned)
• Perform assembly/testing & repair requirements to meet customer satisfaction
• Quality Control for each ECO rework applies to meet commercial standards
• ESD-safe work environment and procedures experience
• Follow SOP and schedule to meet daily demand and quality
• Follow supervisor's instruction and testing procedures
• Handling and assembly of small parts, (such as socket pinning) and cable assembly
• Good understanding of system hardware and software testing for validation the best solution
• Solid HW system design and diagnostics skills, as well as a good understanding of BIOS, drivers, and application
• Work with the teams to resolve product issues discovered during testing
• Conduct functional and compatibility testing on various operating systems such as: Linux, Windows, etc.
• Perform server configuration and system performance testing
Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.
Qualifications:
• AA degree in an engineering discipline. Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years' experience in related areas preferred
• A Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
• Strong communication and management skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Flexible, self-motivated, resourceful, reliable, trustworthy and productive
• Basic understanding of material logistics
• Motherboard and PC testing/repair experience
• Computer system assembly experience and skills
• The successful candidate needs to have solid HW system design and diagnostics skills, as well as a good understanding of how BIOS, drivers, and application loads can cause system issues
• Qualified candidate must have knowledge using MS applications (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
• Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Candidate should be comfortable working in challenging, dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Understanding of hardware and software interactions; able to apply this understanding to resolve issues.
• Ability to work in highly demanding environment where teamwork is a must
Salary Range
$24.00/hr - $42.00/hr
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
