About the Job
Job Description:
- Develop programs for SMT placement and ancillary equipment to maximize throughput and quality
- Work with Configuration Management systems to convert new designs and design changes into Manufacturing Engineering systems
- Design and order necessary tooling required for SMT assembly
- Support Preventative Maintenance schedules and machine capability assessments
- Support equipment troubleshooting and repair for all SMT Equipment
- Work closely with other SMT ME Techs to further understanding of SMT & ancillary equipment/processes and resolve issues
- Investigate, initiate, and institute efficiency improvement opportunities
- Self -starter and able to work successfully with minimal supervision and manage own workload
- Experience operating and troubleshooting Universal, Fuji, and Assemble on SMT placement equipment platforms
- Familiarity with using statistical analysis to make data driven decisions
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to work and learn in fast paced production environment
- Demonstrated experience with SMT and ancillary equipment operation.
- Familiarity with basic computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Ability to support Transfer of Technology (Production)
- Position may require travel overseas to support Transfer of Technology projects
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
