Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Conduct safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
+ Exercise responsibility for thoroughness, timeliness and accuracy of work performed
+ Support new product design teams through test development, data analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
+ Maintain agility and support multiple laboratory requests within designated projects while maintaining priority organization and efficiency
+ Follow work instructions and test fixture procedures
+ Prepare efficient test procedures from test specifications
+ Perform hands-on testing using a variety of electrical and mechanical test equipment and techniques
+ Prepare reports utilizing a PC with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, databases, spreadsheets and statistical / graphical software
+ Review test data and make formal recommendations to product design teams and Test Automation Group
+ Participate in the improvement and development of testing and automated machinery
+ Maintain test procedures and equipment according to departmental procedures.
+ Perform preventative equipment maintenance and repairs of test equipment
+ Contribute to organizational goals and objectives
Skills:
+ Requires an education equivalent to a technical associate degree in a specialized technical, scientific or related field with experience using test measurement and diagnostic equipment, power tools & hand tools
+ Fundamentals of electronics, AC/DC circuits, motors, sensors, pneumatics and controllers essential
+ Knowledge of test concepts in design and development of products and components required
+ Experience with automated testing applications and a mechanical / electrical / mechatronic background desired
+ PC hardware and software knowledge preferred
+ Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications
