Position Overview
Our client, a global leader in digital imaging solutions, is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to join their team in Hillsboro, OR. This role focuses on supporting advanced semiconductor equipment, specifically photolithography systems. Candidates will work on the cutting edge of technology, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing equipment for customer operations.
Selected candidates will receive 1-2 weeks of training in Austin or Japan, followed by 4 weeks of on-the-job training in Hillsboro.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment within factory standard specifications.
- Provide training and guidance to customers on system operation and maintenance.
- Act as a liaison between the company and the customer for projects like installations or major component replacements.
- Perform complex repairs and maintenance independently and collaboratively.
- Offer technical support to minimize downtime and ensure strong customer relations.
- Identify and report equipment errors and performance updates.
- Accurately document activities and generate periodic reports.
- Conduct customer training to enhance operational proficiency.
- Collaborate with other field technicians for troubleshooting and servicing.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent technical/military training.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on mechanical skills and experience with electronic testing tools.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems preferred.
- Familiarity with lithography, optics, lasers, software, robotics, or precision mechanical systems is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent troubleshooting, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Customer support experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
