Engineering Technician II - Triad Engineering

Triad Engineering, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Engineering Technician for our Scott Depot, WV office.

• Certifications in Concrete, Soil, Foundation Testing Required
• WVDOH AND WVTRET Certifications Required
• Utility Line Work Experience Preferred

DUTIES

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform routine quality control test procedures including concrete and nuclear moisture / density testing
• Complete and submit daily reports and Job Hazard Analysis forms
• Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures
• Familiar with applicable plans and specifications
• Frequent exposure to clients
• May occasionally make limited recommendations in the field after consultation with PM and/or Engineer
• May have limited responsibility for assisting, directing and/or training entry-level technicians
• Maintain a driving record free of specific violations
• May perform field work within other company disciplines
• May schedule client meetings and/or additional services
• May occasionally attend job site related meetings
• May occasionally perform routine testing in the lab

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-4 years of formal industry experience required
• Construction-related training or technical training desirable

Certifications

• Concrete, soils, and foundation testing certifications required
• WVDOT and WVTRET required

Other Requirements:

• Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
• Must possess the ability to read, write and perform basic math
• Must be comfortable communicating with the public
• Must be comfortable with regular use of email, internet and basic Microsoft Office applications
• Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments

This position may require long term standing and repetitive motions. Must have the ability to use your hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit. Must have the ability to see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus.
