Engineering Technician I - Shift 1 - AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Technician I - Shift 1 for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). You will support new product development and testing, building prototypes, and analyzing test data to ensure project success.

 

Rate Range: $21.84/hour to $28.82/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Engineering Technician I - Shift 1 job responsibilities include:

• Performing lab, inventory, and equipment maintenance to support daily operations.

• Assisting in 6S and lean initiatives within the laboratory for process improvements.

• Preparing data collection worksheets, entering data, and analyzing test results.

• Building custom prototypes and managing sample inventory for development projects.

• Coordinating manufacturing trial runs, sterilization, and aging studies with cross-functional teams.

• Executing test protocols and accurately recording information as part of the testing process.

• Planning and conducting projects of limited scope or specific parts of larger projects.

• Supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives focused on continuous improvement.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required, an associate’s degree in a related technical or engineering field preferred.

• 1 year of experience as an engineering technician in a manufacturing or testing environment, or relevant technical education.

• Familiarity with basic mechanical concepts, especially related to medical devices.

• Basic knowledge of quality standards (GMP/FDA/ISO 9001) and statistical tools like Minitab.

Pay Details: $21.84 to $28.82 per hour
