Engineering Technician I at The Fountain Group

The Fountain Group is currently seeking an Engineering Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in San Jose, CA. Details for the position are as follows:
 
Payrate: $36/hr W2
 
 
Job Title: Engineering Technician
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 12 months contract.
 
 
Education, Experience and Requirements:

• High School Degree (or equivalent) with 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with wafer manufacturing and assembly of complex electro-mechanical devices, preferably of a microfluidic, biological lab-on-a-chip purpose a plus.
• Strong team player with ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional detail-oriented execution of job function required.
• Ability to work independently and with others as a team.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment per semi-conductor protocol/requirements.

• Perform engineering experiments by following instructions.
• Process and test wafers and parts using defined procedures.
• Perform visual inspections.
• Operate testing instrument and inspection equipment (optical microscope, SEM, etc) and interpret results.
• Review Statistical Process Control charts for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions including defect troubleshooting
• Recover from process and tool interruptions.
• Use standard software applications and specific programs creating reports and documenting procedures.
• Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost.
• Complete all required reporting and documentation.
• Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement processes and on the Emergency Response Team
• Train new team members
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
