About the Job
ManTech is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Engineering Technician I to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This position requires a strong background in leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to dynamic and fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Collect, identify, annotate, and enter research information into a computer database
+ Identify maintenance requirements for mechanical and electrical equipment
+ Support the Engineering Support Services (ESS) Team by providing parts research, onboard validation, and acquisition services in support of US Navy small boats under 200 feet program
Minimum Qualifications:
+ A High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of experience conducting parts research for mechanical and electrical systems for the military, commercial and recreational marine industry in boats under 200 feet
+ Experience with data entry and manipulating spreadsheets
+ Experience and knowledge of Navy 3M (Maintenance and Material Management) program
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Power Point
+ Proficient in Google Sheets, Docs & Gmail
Desired Qualifications:
+ Perform equipment validations on boats either on trailers or in the water
+ Former US Navy Machinist's Mate, Engineman, or Electricians Mate desired
Clearance Requirements:
+ Current and active Secret security clearance
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time
+ Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
+ Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet
+ Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
+ May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment
