Description
Leidos is seeking an Engineering Technical Lead for the Sponsor’s Secure Token Service (STS). The Engineering Technical Lead will be responsible for providing architectural guidance to the existing STS service, as well as leading the effort in designing new technical solutions, policies, and automation as the service matures into a Zero-Trust Architecture (ZTA) enabling posture. The Engineering Technical Lead will work closely with group- and division-level architectural personnel to ensure consistent and cohesive efforts are pursued across the group. In addition, the Engineering Technical Lead will be critical in leading efforts to design, document, and promote consistent design patterns to speed the adoption of STS across the Sponsor’s Enterprise.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical team that build outs, tests, maintains, and monitors the STS system
- Lead engineering tasks to implement new, ZTA-enabling services and service adoption automation efforts
- Ensure designs are compatible with both the team’s internal and the group level architectures
- Address user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate and improve existing systems integrations
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, requirements allocation, and interfaced definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software requirements
- Identify system integrity issues and solutions for the full system life cycles from concept to disposal
- Support the development, documentation, and execution of system policies
- Help create prototypes and proof-of-concepts of integration policies to showcase to customers.
- Work directly with the team to learn best practices with the given COTS product.
- Work to understand the necessary security requirements for customer needs and wants.
- Help to design future technical needs and designs.
- Knowledge of external agencies and how their requirements line up with our methods.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
- Must have experience with ICAM delivery systems, specifically in the Authentication space, whether that is as the ICAM provider or consumer
- Must have working knowledge of STS technologies (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, etc.) or commitment to becoming SME-level proficient within 6-months (“on the job training” is not sufficient)
- Must have experience with security accreditation process
- Must commit to becoming an integral part in the Sponsor’s effort to mature ZTA across the Enterprise
- Must have experience with the Cloud / Amazon Web Services
- Must have experience in Systems Engineer providing requirements and system interface analysis for enterprise scale development project
- Experience developing and maintaining interface control documents between components in an enterprise operational system
- Strong communication between development team and stakeholders on intent of the requirements and user stories
- Translating user requirements into agile sprint stories and acceptance criteria that is achievable within each sprint
- Experience with agile project management methodologies, including managing product backlogs
Desired Qualifications
- Formal training with administering PingFederate or other STS-providers
- Experience with requirements management on a program interacting with and supporting multiple customers
- Experience as a Scrum Master

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
