About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Engineer Project Manager with a background in engineering and construction to oversee the design, planning, and execution of our new manufacturing facilities, new machines and upgrades to existing ones. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing new machine implementation and large-scale construction projects within the food manufacturing sector, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage construction and engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Process Design and Improvement - Design and implement manufacturing processes for ice cream production, focusing on efficiency, quality, and scalability. Analyze current processes and machinery to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of contractors, engineers, architects, and other project team members.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring prompt resolution to keep projects on track.
- Ensure all projects adhere to industry standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, quality assurance, and operations teams, to ensure project alignment with company objectives.
- Prepare and present regular project updates, reports, and documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, including cost control, procurement, and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management within the construction and engineering sectors, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, including new builds and facility upgrades.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations, particularly within the food manufacturing industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate diverse project teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as MS Project, AutoCAD, and other relevant applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations within the construction and food manufacturing industries.
