Requirements / Who we are looking for:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Project Engineer to join our wastewater management team. This role involves overseeing engineering projects from design through implementation, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and delivering cost-effective, sustainable solutions. The Project Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to optimize wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure.
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Project Engineer to join our wastewater management team. This role involves overseeing engineering projects from design through implementation, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and delivering cost-effective, sustainable solutions. The Project Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to optimize wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure.
Key components we are looking for :
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in wastewater treatment, water resources, or related fields is a plus
- 3-5 Years of experience in Project Management
- Understanding of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and systems.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, GIS, or similar tools.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Experience with hydraulic modeling and SCADA systems is a plus
- Willingness to travel to project sites if needed.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or related credentials is a plus.
Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
- Design and oversee wastewater treatment projects, including plant upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and environmental impact analyses
. - Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with operations teams to identify process improvements and enhance system efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
- Oversee contractors and vendors to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
- Perform field inspections and provide on-site technical support during project implementation.
- Analyze wastewater treatment data and recommend improvements to optimize performance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for leadership and stakeholders on project status and outcomes.
