Job Description and Function:
The Project Manager works with key stakeholders to understand the business needs, creates a project management plan that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives, and is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the project plan. Monitors teams to make sure the project goals and objectives are kept.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Creates and implements project plans, project schedules, and timelines
- Help define project scope, goals and deliverables
- Define tasks and required resources
- Collect, manage, and allocate project resources to make sure the schedule is on track
- Identifies risks and recommend resolutions
- Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables
- Maintains project objectives
- Lead meetings and set expectations for the project team
- Support and direct team
- Manage the project budget
- Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
- Evaluate and assess the result of the project
Required Education and Skillset:
- Project management qualification (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) required. Equivalent experience as a qualified Project Manager with HS Diploma will be considered in lieu of PMP or CAPM.
- Project planning, risk management, time management and other project management skills
- Problem-solving and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Conflict resolution experience
- Basic understanding of ROI
Preferable Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, management, leadership or related field
- Able to provide examples of improved efficiency and productivity in previous positions;
- Knowledge of agile and lean approaches such as Scrum, Kanban and SAFe, among others
- Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
- Contract negotiation
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, move throughout the facility, and communicate. Work in office environment and use of computer (typical 2-button scroll mouse and keyboard - 75% of the work day). The employee must frequently lift/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment may be loud. Must be able to use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
