About the Project Coordinator Role

As a Project Coordinator at Intech you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that produces complex spinal and orthopedic instruments, that improve the lives of patients around the world! Through collaboration with your team, engineering, machinists, operators, and leadership your primary role is to oversee entire projects, setting goals, creating schedules, and ensuring that the team stays on track to meet deadlines and objectives as required to produce quality parts per customer specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define the product requirements. This includes understanding technical specifications, design features, and functionalities.
• Develop and manage project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines.
• Collaborate with various teams such as engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, and sales to facilitate communication and coordination.
• New Product Introduction (NPI) Project Coordinators act as a bridge between different departments, ensuring everyone is aligned with the product goals.
• Identify potential risks and challenges in the product development process.
• Develop contingency plans and solutions to address issues that may arise during the development and launch phases.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to establish testing protocols and ensure the product meets quality standards and customer expectations.
• Address any quality issues promptly.
• Monitor the product's performance after launch.
• Analyze data & customer feedback. Use this information to make improvements, plan future iterations, and assess the product's overall success.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach throughout the product development process. Gather customer feedback, address concerns, and ensure that the final product aligns with customer needs and expectations.
• Keep stakeholders informed about the progress of the NPI process. Provide regular updates to executives, investors, and other relevant parties.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

• Thoroughly understands how to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) callouts on part prints to effectively run quality parts.
• Must be adaptable to a changing environment, competing demands and is able to deal well with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
• Experience with CAD Autodesk Inventor Preferred.
• Critical thinking and advanced decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Office 365 product suite.
• Ability to identify different materials and their relationship to design (form, fit, and function).
• High level of attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping capability.
• Excellent prioritization and organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions, blueprints, routers, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to collaborate and assist team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend/participate effectively in meetings.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively, professionally, and constructively.
• Comply with and maintain 5S and safe work environment practices.
• Experienced in a medical device, ISO/FDA, job shop environment preferred.
• Ability to work the necessary hours and adjust their schedule accordingly to ensure the work is complete on time.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; or equivalent combination of related experience and/or training.
• Technical degree preferred. Will accept High School Diploma, GED, Trade School, with equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in ISO/FDA machine shop, contract manufacturer experience required.
